Leviticus 6:1-8:36

G-d instructs Moses to command Aaron and his sons regarding their duties and rights as Kohanim ("priests") who offer the korbanot (animal and meal offerings) in the Sanctuary.

The fire on the Altar must be kept burning at all times. In it are burned the wholly consumed Ascending Offering; veins of fat from the Peace, Sin, and Guilt Offerings; and the "handful" separated from the Meal Offering.

The Kohanim eat the meat of the Sin and Guilt Offerings and the remainder of the Meal Offering. The Peace Offering is eaten by the one who brought it, except for specified portions given to the Kohen. The holy meat of the offerings must be eaten by ritually pure persons, in their designated holy place, and within their specified time.

Aaron and his sons remain within the Sanctuary compound for seven days, during which Moses initiates them into the priesthood.

The Torah also says:

You shall live in booths seven days in order that future generations may know that I made the Israelite people live in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. (Leviticus 23:42-43)

Currently among the Messianic community there has been some buzz about a medieval document called the Shem Tob. This document is a Hebrew version of the book of Matthew. Until recently many did not hold Shem Tobs Matthew in high esteem. The text seems to differ in many ways in comparison to our Greek text of Matthew. Many have started to take another look at this document. There is a theory among some that Shem Tob a Jewish anti-missionary derived his text from the authentic Hebrew Matthew. We know from many historical texts that at some point there was a Hebrew version of Matthew but can we accept the Shem Tob as authoritative? He became recognized for his Jewish parody rap song In Da Shul(a take on 50 Cents In Da Club), Cohen has also been written up in the New York Magazine, New York Post, Blender, Esquire and the Forward. Cohen however, has recently announced that he became a follower of Yeshua (Jesus) and as you can imagine the response from the Orthodox Jewish community has been very negative. Many of the same media outlets that once praised his Jewish rap parodies are now quick to attack and slander Cohen for his acceptance of Yeshua. Cohen who once was referred to as the worlds most Kosher MC, now describes himself as a completed Jew. Within the last few weeks Cohen has dropped the title 50 Shekel and is now going solely by his G-d given name Aviad Cohen. Just because Cohen has come to the Messiah does not mean that his passion for music has dwindled, Cohen is currently working on a CD titled For His Glory, which is less hip hop parody and more electronic praise pop.
